Tenement house

There is a tenement house run by the national trust for Scotland

I have been to the tenement house

There were people still living in tenements as late as 1990

Lots of people were living under the same roof so people got sick more easily

People did not like moving because they missed the closeness they had

Glasgow miles better

I was a fan of the Mr Men books

1983

Was reintroduced in 1994

Glasgow got many events such as the 1988 garden festival

Glasgow also got titles such as the cultural capital of Europe 1990 and city of architecture and design 1999

I can remember when it was reintroduced in 1994

The people of Glasgow helped to spread the word about Glasgow miles better

His nick name was “the big yin”

I am a fan of Billy Connolly

Lives in the United States

I have friends in the United States

Was a singer

Was born in Patrick in 1942 but moved to durmchapel when he was four

He is more successful making people laugh

He is known world wide

He left Glasgow in the 1980s

Sir Alex Ferguson

Is manager of Manchester United

Won lots of cups with the club

Home ground is old Trafford

Is the longest manager of an English club

Used to be member of a bb company

In 1995 there was nine Scottish managers of English clubs

Mcvitie’s biscuits

I like their jaffa cakes

Made at the Victoria biscuit works at tollcross

Factory started as MacFarlane Lang

19th century

Later became part of united biscuits

Today they make different kinds of biscuits some of which are exported

Was founded in 1887

Was named “Scotland’s other national drink”

Me and my sister like Irn bru

No one knows what goes in Irn – bru but only the people who make Irn – bru know what goes in Irn – bru

I am a member of the 1st Bearsden Company and have been the boys brigade for 16 years

Garden festival

Built on the site of the princes dock was an attempt to boost more jobs

You could get anything from a souvenir brochuces at £2.00 to badges and handkerchiefs and other things

I remember going there when I was 5

1939 – 1945

The B.B. helped out at the war

I am a member of the 1st Bearsden of the B.B.

My grand pr. were in one of the wars

Prefabs were built all over Glasgow

People were still living in them until the 1990’s

Mcw metro cab

First cab designed for disabled people

There are lots of them in Glasgow today

It has travelled over a million miles in 11 years in Glasgow

(200 miles a week)
